sicastar®-M-CT

Cluster-typed magnetic silica particles (sicastar®-M-CT)

  • consist of aggregates in the size range of 3 – 30 µm with a mean diameter of 6 microns,
  • are produced by hydrolysis of orthosilicates in the presence of magnetite,
  • show a homogeneous distribution of magnetite in the silica matrix by the special preparation method,
  • have a hydrophilic surface with terminal Si-OH-bonds,
  • can easily be separated even in highly viscous media with conventional permanent magnets,
  • are extremely stable in organic solvents and at high temperatures,
  • are designed with the surface functionalities OH (plain), NH2, COOH and epoxy for the covalent binding of proteins, antibodies or other molecules,
  • can be offered with the nickel-(II)-complex of nitrilotriacetic acid (Ni-NTA) for the binding of histidine labeled proteins,
  • are available with a hydrophobic octadecyl (C18) surface.
