Magnetic particles
The assortment of micromod comprises a large variety of magnetic nano- and microparticles for different applications in life sciences. In our brochure on magnetic particles selected applications as tracers for magnetic resonance imaging, for magnetic particle imaging, in hyperthermia studies, for homing and tracking of stem cells, for particle targeting and the selective separation of biomolecules or metal ions are summarized.
Magnetic particles in the size range of 100 nm to 100 µm are suitable for the separation at permanent magnets. They are available with different matrix materials:
dextran (nanomag®-D)
cross-linked dextran (nanomag®-CLD)
bionized nanoferrite (BNF particles)
polystyrene (micromer®-M)
silica (sicastar®-M, sicastar®-M-CT)
silica-fortified dextran (nanomag®-silica)
Iron oxide (Iron oxide particles)
Smaller magnetic particles with diameters of 20 nm to 130 nm require a separation in a high gradient magnetic field or via size exclusion chromatography. They are available with biocompatible polysaccharide coatings:
dextran (perimag®, synomag®-D)
cross-linked dextran (nanomag®-CLD)
bionized nanoferrite (BNF-Starch, BNF-Dextran)
Iron oxide (Iron oxide particles, synomag®)
Please choose a product type for your special selection of functional groups /coatings and diameters of the particles.
