sicastar®-Partikel sind mit Aminogruppen (NH2) auf der Oberfläche im Größenbereich von 50 nm bis 20 µm erhältlich. Zur kovalenten Bindung von Proteinen, Antikörpern oder anderen Zielmolekülen kann z. B. die Maleimid- oder SPDP-Funktionalisierung von Aminogruppen zur Bindung SH-funktionalisierter Biomoleküle eingesetzt werden.
Die Partikel werden als Suspension in Wasser ohne Zusatz von Detergenzien geliefert.
