nanomag®-CLD-spio particles with diameters of 20 nm and 100 nm are designed with amino groups on the surface for the covalent binding of proteins, antibodies or other molecules. The nanomag®-D-spio-particles cannot be separated with conventional permanent magnets, but in a high gradient magnetic field. The functionalized nanomag®-CLD particles are supplied in water without any surfactants.

Thus several conjugation methods can be directly applied, e.g.

  • glutaraldehyde activation of amino groups for conjugation to amino groups or
  • maleimide or SPDP functionalization of the amino groups for conjugation of SH-labeled biomolecules (see Technote 201 and Technote 202).
