DTPA

sicastar® particles are offered for the complexation of metal ions with covalently bound chelators on the particle surface. sicastar® particles with DTPA surface functionalities are available in the size range of 300 nm to 20 µm for the complexation of e.g. Cu2+, Ni2+, Fe3+ und Co3+. Like many other chelating agents, DTPA is an interesting chelator for radioactive metal ions such as plutonium, americium and other actinides. Thus silica particles with DTPA surface can also be used for the complexation of radioactive metal ions.
The silica particles with DTPA on the surface are supplied in water without any surfactants.
