Fluorescent bionized nanoferrite particles consist of a matrix of crosslinked dextran (BNF-Dextran-F) or crosslinked hydroxyethyl starch (BNF-Starch-F) and are available with amino groups on the surface for the covalent binding of proteins, antibodies or other molecules. They have a diameter of 100 nm and can be separated with conventional permanent magnets. The BNF-redF particles have a red fluorescence (excitation: 552 nm, emission: 580 nm). The BNF-far redF particles have a far-red fluorescence (excitation: 732 nm, emission: 758 nm). They are supplied in PBS buffer (pH = 7.4) without any surfactants.
